Come join Greater Boston NEMBA in the celebration of 26 years of advocacy to normalize access to singletrack in the Fells and help us raise money to improve trail conditions at the Fells.
The change this year though is that the Fells Kickoff is now part of the Kona Bicycles MTB Adventure Series -- events designed to raise funds for their hosting parks and charities, which is why there is an admission fee to the MBAS events. We want to leverage this to help conservation and sustainability efforts at the Fells.
We hope to raise funding for the following DCR initiatives at the Fells:
- Re-vegetation of closed down trails
- Lumber for bridges/ramps
- Map printing
- Parking lot improvements
There will be guided rides plus marked loops for riders of all abilities. Many local bike shops (Wheelworks, CycleLoft, JRA and more) and riding destinations (Highland Mountain Bike Park) will be in attendance plus bike demos from Pivot and Niner.
