Happening at Huntington 2008
Luckily the Weathermen (and women) got it wrong! Nary a drizzle damped an awesome day at Huntington State Forest, and riders were treated to some wonderful (and technical) singletrack and a chance to explore an incredibly lush and beautiful state forest. There was a full assortment of Kona bike demos from the good folks at New England Bicycle, as well as some great rides available from Cannondale, Iron Horse and Eastern Mountain Sports. The folks at CT NEMBA pulled out all the stops and organized a ton of led rides, and even a women's skills clinic courtesty of Campmor. Team Schier's BBQ now has a solid following in Connectictut -- so much so that every shred of pulled pork was consumed with gusto.
In short, it was a solid and fun event, raising some good funding for trail improvements at this gem of a park.
