Trails Day
June
5, 2005
South Central NH NEMBA
On Sunday June 5th (the day after the official
NTD), a small group got together at Nashua's South West
Park, a.k.a. Yudicky, to cut the first half of a new single
track trail. In keeping with the trail style
of Yudicky, the new Barbwire I trail is tight and twisty,
using the natural obstacles to spice the trail up.
The Peter Desantis brought the NH Tool Trailer, along
with the weed whacker and leaf blower, to make quick work
of clearing the undergrowth off the trail. That
allowed the rest of us to concentrate on clearing out
the endless pine saplings, lop off the low hanging tree
branches, pull the small logs off the trail and build
a ramp over a large fallen log. The work went quickly
and by 12:30 Glenn Kirby and Art were on their bikes and
ready to be the first to ride the new trail.

trees with the orange ribbons grew up through a old
rock wall, so you ride through the trees and over the
rock wall
